So you have spent four years qualifying as a teacher and you are now in a position to look for a school that you want to work at. You may have an idea of a few schools that you feel you would fit in well at, but it may be that there is not currently a position available at any of those places.
Firstly you need to decide if you want to only look for jobs teaching a specific age group, if so this will limit your choices but will also mean that you will be confident when you land that job that it is the right one for you. Secondly, location is often a huge factor and different areas offer different types of schools. If for example you want to teach in London, the job can often be quite different to teaching in a small country school.
